"More, More"

Last weekend we had a wonderful day with our friends Gemma and Craig, which included a lovely walk in Hyde Park. Katie rather enjoyed the playground which had a large adventure climbing frame thing with lots of ropes and slides and stuff. Katie likes slides and despite lots of older kids being a little pushy - she found her way to the BIG slide. First time on her bum. Second time I think she just crawled in and this was the result.

We have a cool video of it and when she got to the bottom all she would say was "more...more!"

Might go back tomorrow... (woo 22 degrees in London!)

Hidin'

One of Katie's latest little games is to hide from us. She seems to have grasped the idea quite well except she thinks that if she can't see us, she is hiding.

Oxo anyone?

As most of you know we tend not to give Katie much chocolate. However, thanks to others she seems to know a lot about it (you know who you are grandads!)

She seems to think that anything in shiny paper is chocolate or as she would say "toklate". You can imagine her delight when she found a box of Oxo cubes :-)

She didn't seem to believe us when we said it wasn't, so we opened a square, and of course it's brown! This added weight to her argument, not ours. So we went one step further and got her to try a bit to see how disgusting it was. Her response...

"tasty"

Is the taste of chocolate just mind over matter?

Dressing up

I think she's growing to like dresses...

"Look at me in my dress"

"Arghh it doesn't fit!"

"Ah well"

Who's that?

We've had fun in London this week. Katie is constantly looking round and commenting on everything. She is also on the lookout for anyone she knows. It must be a funny world that she lives in because:

Anyone who drives a tractor, digger, truck, milk float or wears a high-vis jacket is Tony (the college gardener) - he's been popping up all week!

Anyone with a blonde bob is Gemma

and anyone who's pretty with long brown hair is...

...Uncle Ian?!
