Katie's new found independence does have it's advantages. She wants to help us in everything we do.

She's been helping daddy with his assignments


She's been helping to put the washing out


She's been answering the phone for us


And she's been helping to make tea (angel delight). It must be inbuilt into our human nature to lick the spoon and bowl as we didn't encourage this behaviour, she did this all on her own.

My first haircut

Well, not entirely true because nanny has had a couple of attempts before now, but this week Katie went to the hairdressers. We were a little cautious about how she would react, but she took the whole thing very seriously.


At the end, Katie was given a new hair clip, a certificate and a lock of her hair. As you can see she wasn't that impressed!

Katie had a great weekend - Bob, Judy & Rosy came to visit her. A lot of fun was had by all and the girls had a great time following each other around. Unfortunately we didn't manage to capture the cuddles on film but they were a delight to see, so here they are getting to know each other over a spot of lunch.

Katie has been on holiday. She spent the week with nanny and grandad in Kent and had such a great time. She really loves them, infact, she's now been back with us for 3 days and still asks for Grandad each morning when we wake her up.
